The Beginning of a New Era

Starting Monday Colter and Mom both took the day off work to start getting things ready for the kitchen cabinet installation. They spent the day sanding the kitchen floors. It was amazing to find that there were actually beautiful heart pine floors underneath all the crude. They also finished up painting the walls, which turned out beautifully. I'm so proud of Colter's first drywall job - it couldn't look any better!! Thursday our ceiling painter came in to put the final coat on. Then the big day started bright and early Friday with the cabinet installation. By noon they were completely finished with the installation and finishing touches. It more than exceeded all my expectations!!  Now we do still have some finishing touches (trim work, electrical work, backsplash, faucet & finish on the floor) to complete the kitchen but we're so much closer now. Colter and I are beginning to see the light at the end of the long dark tunnel called the Money Pit!





1st Time Actual Floor has been seen in likely 100 yrs!
